Walsh
Battle-Tested. Trial-Ready.
In Your Corner.
From the Flight Deck
to the Courtroom
When you've been charged with a crime, you need two things from your lawyer. You need someone who can win in front of a jury. And you need someone who will tell you the truth and stay with you while your future is uncertain. Chris Walsh does both.
Chris is a criminal trial attorney at Jeff T. Gorman Law Offices in Stuart. He has taken criminal cases to verdict and won the majority of them — many of them cases other lawyers would have advised clients to plead out. He represents people charged with DUI, drug offenses, violent crimes, domestic violence, serious felonies, and federal charges throughout Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties.
A Trial Lawyer First
Most criminal cases never reach a jury. That doesn't change how Chris prepares them. He builds each case on the assumption that it will be tried. He tests the State's evidence, challenges what can be challenged, and develops the full story a jury needs to hear. When a case goes to trial, Chris is ready — and he has won cases the prosecution expected to win.
Leverage at the Negotiating Table
Trial readiness also produces better outcomes when a case resolves without a trial. Prosecutors know which defense lawyers will actually try a case. When the State sees a defense prepared for trial, its offer changes. Chris uses that leverage to pursue reduced charges, dismissals, and resolutions that protect his clients' records, freedom, and futures. He doesn't settle for convenience — and any decision to resolve a case is the client's decision, made with a clear picture of the risks and options.
Someone in Your Corner
An arrest is often one of the hardest experiences a person or a family goes through. Chris knows that clients need more than legal skill. They need to understand what is happening, what comes next, and what their real options are. He explains each stage of the case in plain terms, returns calls, and gives honest advice even when it is hard to hear. Clients describe him as communicative, dedicated, and thoroughly prepared. His paralegal team keeps clients informed from the first meeting through the final resolution.
Chris earned his J.D. cum laude from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, concentrating in criminal litigation, making the Dean's List, and earning induction into the National Honorary Legal Fraternity. He saw both sides of the courtroom before graduating — interning with the Franklin County Prosecutor's Office and externing with the Federal Public Defender's Office. His classmates voted him the lawyer they would least want to face in court. Before law school, Chris graduated from Virginia Tech and served as a Naval Aviation Officer in the United States Navy. That service gave him a habit of thorough preparation and the ability to think clearly under pressure — in court, it means he adjusts when a trial takes an unexpected turn and stays focused on his client's defense.
