Can an injunction affect my job or security clearance?

It depends on the job, but the exposure is real and broader than most people expect.

Directly affected: law enforcement, military service, armed security, and any position requiring a firearm — because the possession prohibition makes the work impossible.

Frequently affected: positions requiring a security clearance, where an injunction is a reportable matter and the adjudication considers judgment and reliability. Also healthcare, education, childcare, and other fields with fitness or character requirements.

Possibly affected: any position where the employer runs background checks, since injunctions appear in court records.
